Phad Thai @ USJ Taipan
Sal-wat-dee-khrap! Phad Thai, a newly opened restaurant, with a bright yellow signboard, located at the same row as the 100yen shop in Taipan. The restaurant is managed by Thai people which serves delicious ORIGINAL Thai food! As it is a newly opened restaurant, they do not have much varieties on their menu, but that little amount of varities availble were superb!
1. Mango Sticky Rice (Khao Niaow Ma Muang) - RM5.90. This is a Thai dessert, served with sticky rice, coupled with coconut milk and topped up with mangoes! I made a mistake by ordering it as a main course, not knowing that it was a dessert, and I was feeling BLOATED even before I could finish it! A great advice would be to order this meal for sharing purposes, right after you have finished your main course!
2. Tom Yam Noodles - RM5.90. You also have an option to order the Tom Yam soup only, without the noodles, but with much more ingredients (ie, seafood) at a cost of RM9.90. My mum was the one who ordered this dish, while I only had a sip or two. My mum, being a spicy food lover, commented that it wasnt as spicy as what she expected, but it tasted good overall. However, I was told after that that you actually need to add in the chilli, laid at the side of the table, all by yourself!
3. Nasi Goreng Thai - RM5.90. Skinny ayam really enjoyed his meal!
Skinny ayam quoted : "It was just like what I had tasted before in Bangkok, which means that they are able to bring the original flavour of this Thai fried rice over to this particular restaurant. Lol! It's totally different from our Malaysian fried rice, and yes, it's definitely spicy especially when you mix everything along with their thai cili padi!"
Till then, enjoy your meal!
