Sydney's Emperor's Puff

During our recent trip to Sydney, a friend brought us to china town and pointed to a bakery at Dixon Street saying, "Now this is a must-try, they serve the best puffs here!". What caught our eye was a tiny window next to the bakery entrance where only hot custard puffs served in kaya balls' size were sold.

These cute little custard puffs are freshly baked on the spot (you know the machine people use to make takoyaki japanese octopus balls? they've got a machine that works the same but 10x bigger, imagine that!) and yes, they are "served hot". I almost got my tongue burnt on the hot custard filling from the puffs!

Four hot emperor puffs for a dollar? Mmmhmm. Oh and as usual, we went back the next day for a second round of puffs, heh ;)
